MULTITASKING: VIRTUE OR FLAW?

Multitasking used to be considered an advantageous feminine trait. The emergence of technology, and especially social media, is changing that perception.

Or rather, the meaning of the word «multitasking.»

Now, rapidly switching screens, having different apps and notifications constantly active leads to an attention problem that you may have noticed.

📱 Are you struggling to concentrate? It may not be you… but what we know as short spam.

In the age of 15-second videos, reels, and infinite scrolling, our brains are getting used to receiving brief, quick, and constant stimuli. This phenomenon, known as short spam, saturates our attention and decreases our ability to concentrate and retain information.

🧠 Every time we switch between content in seconds, we train our minds to be more easily distracted and not to delve into anything.

The result?

👉 We struggle to read a full article.

👉 We constantly interrupt tasks.

👉 We forget what we just saw or did.

💡 What can you do to regain your attention?

⏳ Practice mindful consumption: limit your time on social media and avoid multitasking.

📚 Train your mind with long-form content: books, podcasts, or long articles.

🌿 Introduce digital breaks: disconnect from your phone for at least an hour a day and create screen-free spaces.

Your concentration deserves a quiet space.
